These terms govern your use of the BiteDraft app ("BiteDraft," "we," "us"). By downloading or using BiteDraft, you agree to them.

The service

BiteDraft helps you draft replies to messages, emails, and social posts in a tone or persona you choose, and lets you talk directly to an AI assistant in AI Chat mode. Replies are generated using Anthropic's Claude models. BiteDraft is a writing aid: it suggests text, it doesn't send anything on your behalf, and you decide what to actually send.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use BiteDraft.

No account required

BiteDraft doesn't require you to create an account. Your reply history, styles, and persona settings are stored locally on your device.

Subscriptions and billing

BiteDraft offers a free daily allowance and optional paid subscriptions for extended use, billed and managed entirely through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's own policies, we cannot issue refunds directly.

Your own API key (BYOK)

You may optionally provide your own Anthropic API key for unlimited use without the daily cap. If you do, usage is billed to your own Anthropic account and is subject to Anthropic's terms of service, not ours. You're responsible for keeping your key secure and for any charges it incurs.

AI-generated content

Replies are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, out of context, or inappropriate for your situation. You're solely responsible for reviewing any suggested reply before sending it. BiteDraft is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other advice, and nothing it generates should be treated as such.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use BiteDraft to:

• Harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or harm another person;
• Generate content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service; or
• Violate any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of the messages you paste or write and any photos you attach. By using BiteDraft, you grant us the limited right to transmit that content to our AI processing provider solely to generate a reply for you.

Intellectual property

The BiteDraft app, its design, and its built-in style and persona library are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond using the app as intended.

Disclaimer of warranties

BiteDraft is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated replies will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of BiteDraft, including consequences of sending an AI-generated reply you chose not to edit or review.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date above when we do; continuing to use BiteDraft after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
